Xiaomi continues to bring all kinds of devices to the market, and the last one that has just been presented in China is a new sound bar that they have simply called Mi TV Speaker. It is a bar finished in white, with a simple and minimalist design with a body with a long striped design and a front covered in fabric.
It is designed to be simple and combine with almost any television, and tries to position itself with a price between 55 and 60 dollars to change. Inside we will find a configuration of eight units of speakers, with two dome tweeters, two 2.5-inch subwoofers and four passive radiators.
Xiaomi has not revealed data on the power of its speaker, although it has said that it will have a frequency range between 60 and 25000 Hz. It will have an SPDIF optical input, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, AV audio input and RCA for stereo.
The Mi TV Speaker bar will also have Bluetooth connectivity, so in addition to being able to use it for the TV you can also connect to any mobile, tablet or device with this technology to listen to it.
At the top of the speaker we will find a control panel composed of seven physical buttons, with which we can raise and lower the sound, connect the Bluetooth or navigate between the different audio inputs. Each button corresponds to a function, minimizing complexity to the maximum so that anyone can use it.
Price and availability
The new Mi TV Speaker available from April 3 in China for a price of 399 Yuan, between 55 to 60 dollars to change. There is still no information on when it will arrive in other countries, not even if it will, although it is expected that in a short time it will be available in export stores such as Gearbest.
It is clear that for such a small price we can not expect a sound at the height of the high-end bars of the market, but it is certainly an interesting alternative for those who pay attention to the price. We will have to wait to try it in the first person to see what it is capable of doing.
